For most of the country, the news that Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich tried to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat to the highest bidder was big news. Maybe Obama didn’t hear about it, because there’s no mention of it anywhere on his website.
Obama claims that he didn’t have any discussions with Blag over the senate seat. That may be technically true, but some of his goons certainly did. David Axelrod, Obama’s cheif political strategist said weeks ago that the Obama team had discussions with Blag, only to recant an claim he misspoke when the scandal erupted. Axelrod actually worked as an advisor for Blag. Rahm Emanuel is actually caught on tape discussing it. Tony Rezko-yes, that Tony Rezko, raised money for both Obama and Blagojevich.
Anyone that thinks you can traverse Illinois politics without having some slime permanently attached is just deluding themselves. Once again Obama is hiding his questionable associations. It would have been easy to say, “Sure, he was the governor, we talked, but I didn’t know what he was up to,”, but instead he tried to pass off to the American public that he really didn’t associate with the governor of that will deliver the president elect. You may want to start gathering some alternative news sources. You may need them. Censorship we can believe in.

Hello there,
Did you hear of the Chicago Sun Times article reporting that Obama met with Blagojevich on Nov 5 to talk about who would fill his senate seat?
It was the day after the election so it was a natural thing to do – but why lie if the meeting took place? Or why not admit that it was scheduled but didn’t take place? Or was it better to stonewall and have the article ‘disappear’?
The article mysteriously ‘disappeared’, but i posted a link to the screen shot that was snagged from Google’s cache on my blog. jude

it’s interesting how Blagojevich seems so unaffected by all the chaos swirling around him; it’s as if he feels right at home…
