VP Moderator an Obama Goon

Gwen Ifill, the moderator for Thursday’s vice presidental debate, will soon come out with a new book entitled, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. It was my understanding that the moderator was supposed to be objective and neutral.

Clearly, this is a person that has a vested interest in seeing Obama succeed. How will she treat Sarah Palin? Does it matter? Surely, these debate questions are pre-arranged, but being live, there might be a moment when the moderator throws a curve at one of the candidates. Sure, Palin isn’t qualified, but neither is Obama, so it would be a wash but-Obama is seeking the higher position.

On the other hand, if she looks too Obamaesque, Palin may win the debate based on the sympathy factor alone, and Obama may come out on the short end of public opinion. Still, this debate, or any of the debates are unlikely to change any minds. Polls are notoriously inaccurate, and the fact is, most, if not all people have already made up their minds. The poll numbers just depend on who you ask that day. If it was up to me though, Jimmy Leher could have done them all…
