The Ugly American(s)

Thanksgiving is a day of appreciating the bounty in one’s life. Sure, there are those that will argue history with you, but the feast of today is to acknowledge the current wealth we now have as a country, and to be thankful for it. Some want a little more though, and you’d better get the hell out of their way.

In a tragic embarrassment that we’ve all heard before unfortunately, a Wal-Mart worker was trampled to death by bull-rushing shoppers when he opened the door for business on what for him anyway, was black Friday. Other workers were trampled by the mob when they attempted to render aid to the man, and when Wal-Mart decided to close the store, already angry “shoppers” became enraged, not caring about the body they left laying at entrance to the store, and continued to shop.

An episode that would make the Chinese smile and check their bank accounts, and cause a child molester to hang his head in shame, the people involved in this fiasco, and others like it in recent history are truly a blot on America, and if there is such a thing as karma, then this pack of scum has it coming.

Would you kill for a T.V.? Would you kill for a Playstation? Apparently some would, those that might even be mistaken for the “average American”. Yes, I hope it would be a mistake to assume that.

It sad to see we have fallen to such a disgraceful level. This ‘self-over others’ attitude of ours has gone too far.
