Who fell for the tax cut for 95% of Americans line? This is what Obama is about to do. Sure, he will cut income taxes on one end (while raising it for the job creators), but he will hit you on the other side with an energy tax. Is he taxing us for energy? Well…
He is hitting energy companies with a cap and trade scheme, a tactic that will penalize companies for spewing too much pollution. Well, what’s wrong with that? What’s wrong is there is no phase in, therefore no chance for these companies to find another way to be productive while lowering pollution emissions. They will be hit with the cap. So what do you think companies do when they incur additional expenses? That’s right, they pass them onto you.
As a result of this plan, Americans can expect to pay an average of $1800 a year extra in energy bills. Do you have that kind of money? You won’t get more bang for your buck; you’ll just have to pay more for what you get now.
U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) seems to think that there are more nefarious motives behind this than just to fight the man caused disaster of global warming. This may be a scheme to get people out of their cars, and onto the bus. If that’s true…did you ever take the bus in Los Angeles? This would be a disaster if what Inhofe is suggesting is actually the case. You know, when gas prices were skyrocketing, Obama’s only problem with that was that it happened so quickly, not that it happened.
Jacked up energy bills and nut-to-butt on the bus. Quite a vision Barry.
